Construction of a bicycle path around the Czorsztyn Lake - section I: Czarna Dama - bicycle route in Czorsztyn (from Mizerna to Czorsztyn Nadzamcze)
The Czorsztyn municipality is one of the most attractive tourist areas in Poland. It is an excellent starting point for hiking, biking and skiing trips in the Pieniny Mountains, and a place that provides for the opportunity to contact unique nature and stunning landscapes. Every year it attracts not only tourists but also new residents of the municipality. Thanks to the Czorsztyn – Niedzica – Sromowce Wyżne Complex of Water Reservoirs and the Pieniny National Park, located within its area, as well as thanks to the Dunajec Valley, the well-developed Wdżar Mountain and numerous monuments (e.g. the Czorsztyn Castle), it is the cultural and economic center of the Podhale Region. The aim of the project was to create a new tourist offer of the Czorsztyn Municipality based on the existing landscape values and the development of recreational areas. The newly created two-way bicycle route, 6.39 km long, leads through the villages of Maniowy, Mizerna, Kluszkowce and Czorsztyn, attracting lovers of two wheels at any age. The new tourist offer of the region is accessible all year round, regardless of the weather conditions. Adequate tourism development will have a positive impact on the development of active tourism in the region and will create perfect conditions for various forms of recreation, for active leisure. Due to using the natural, landscape and cultural values, tourism in rural areas is strengthened.
