Adaptation of a former inn for the Podgórze Museum in Cracow
Podgórze Museum – a branch of the Historical Museum of the City of Krakow.
The Podgórze Museum is a unique place, documenting the history of one of the most interesting districts in Krakow. Exhibitions and educational activities are only some of the activities of this center. The masterful architecture and the function integrating local community make the Podgórze Museum an obligatory point on the map of Krakow’s cultural attractions. Along with the EU support, it was possible to adapt the old historic building to the needs of modern exhibitions. On the ground floor and first floor there are exhibition rooms, including permanent exhibition “A City at the Foot of the Krak Mound”. At the basement level, two educational rooms, sanitary facilities and a storage room were established.
